We are committed at providing a safe environment for all our members. The club believes that all members, coaches and parent helpers should respect and show an understanding for the safety and welfare of others.
What is expected of coaches/officials within Illusion Gymnastics Club:
We are committed at providing a safe environment for all our members. The club believes that all members, coaches and parent helpers should respect and show an understanding for the safety and welfare of others.
What is expected of coaches/officials within Illusion Gymnastics Club:
- Hold appropriate qualifications and membership for the skills being performed
- Be on time to all classes – if going to be late the person in charge must be informed
- If ill/injured and cannot coach, the person in charge must be informed at the earliest stage possible in order to provide cover
- Consider the safety and well being of all within the club
- Promote the positive aspects of sport
- Strive to improve on their coaching through professional development
- Be a good role model
- Always report any incidents/concerns following the appropriate guidelines set out in Scottish gymnastics safeguarding guide.
- Ensure that all information is kept confidential
